Clay shaped by whenua, whakapapa and lived experience

Fiona Bryant is a talented Māori clay artist proudly based in the beautiful region of Tairāwhiti, where she creates exquisite handcrafted ceramic pieces that are deeply inspired by the rich whenua, vibrant culture, and the nuances of everyday life that surround her.

Each unique piece is made with careful intention — thoughtfully blending creativity, practicality, functionality, and a profound connection to the stories that shape her work.

Creating with clay has become a deeply rewarding part of my life. While I primarily create for the joy of making, I occasionally offer selected handcrafted pieces for others to enjoy and share in that journey.

Why I Create

"Every piece begins with a conversation between clay, whenua, and memory. My ceramics are made to be held, used, and treasured—bringing a little of Aotearoa into everyday life."
